Second single release: Nothing
Today I am releasing my second single Nothing. The idea is that it will be a part of my upcoming album. I wrote the lyrics and the melody myself, but my producer Sam Sonntag from Colla Records really brought it to life. The cover photo is by Sam Sonntag.

Here is the background to my writing the song:
I started writing this song after overhearing a conversation between my sister and my parents. She didn’t want to go to high school anymore, she wanted to study tourism. My parents only wanted the best for her and I understand that, but she was very uninterested in the studies and was failing a lot as a result. She ended up going to the school she wanted after and she did very well. She was really good at it and she thoroughly enjoyed learning. Her story made me think about my decisions and what I really wanted.
Our youth is under such pressure to choose early what they want to do for the rest of their lives. A lot of young people choose the wrong route for the sake of moving forward, to make parents proud and so on. When you’re not doing what makes you happy you feel so insignificant, so out of place and so uninterested. This world has a system and everyone is expected to run by it. However, everyone is different. This world is confusing and it will take some time, but you’ll find yourself eventually.
